That is interesting but I'm not familiar with cemetery. Hopefully someone
that lives around the area and uses the trail knows about the cemetery. It
would be interesting to have markers along the way for such sightings
Mised you both last nite's meeting. ____________________________________

Are any of you Trail friends, visitors, and workers familiar with this
pioneer burial spot? Here's how it's described (my notes, not an exact
quote) in the Knox County Genealogical Society's 1991 publication of
cemetery info:
Wilson Cemetery
near Bangs, Liberty Township
NW of Johnstown Road
W of the County Home Cemetery
1/4 mile S of RR on edge of creek
The proximity to the RR suggests it might be somewhat accessible from the
Trail, and I'm wondering if that is the case. There are only 5 burials in
the location. I only noted one for a woman who passed away in 1820.
There may be other Trail users who are interested in historical points,
including old cemeteries. If you think of anything like this, I'll be
glad to collect a list for our web home.
